Live Review
There was nothing short of a spectacular performance from Wilco at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on April 25th. The legendary alt-country band's spectacular performance blew a packed audience away. As Wilco's frontman Jeff Tweedy led the audience through "Side With The Seeds" and "Jesus, Etc.," his voice echoed throughout the historic venue.
A seamless blend of intricate melodies was evident throughout the show, with guitarist Nels Cline and keyboardist Mikael Jorgensen spinning intricate melodies together. Bassist John Stirratt and drummer Glenn Kotche kept a steady, pulsing beat throughout the night, providing the perfect foundation for the band's sound. Highlights of the evening included a gorgeous rendition of "Either Way" and an epic performance of "Impossible Germany," which had the entire crowd in awe of the band. The encore was equally impressive, with the band performing a stunning version of "California Stars," with the audience singing along at the top of their lungs. The night ended with a heartfelt rendition of "A Shot in the Arm," leaving the crowd exhilarated and energized. Wilco's Ryman Auditorium performance proved the band's talent and longevity. Their ability to captivate audiences with their unique brand of alternative country rock speaks volumes about their staying power.
