French deathcore metal band release new single “Good Morning”

If there’s anything that can be expected when new music from experimental nu-beatdown metallers Ten56. drops, it’s getting your ears assaulted in the best way. The band have dropped a new single titled ‘Good Morning’ that certainly doesn’t disappoint in that regard.

‘Good Morning’ continues ten56.’s fresh approach to mixing the sensibilities of nu metal with metalcore breakdowns, industrial sounds and deathcore vocals. This time around, the production is leaning heavily in the industrial direction with a prominent bass to the sound. Even the snare drum sounds closer to an electronic beat than a natural-sounding drum kit.

The vocals of frontman and former Betraying The Martyrs harsh vocalist Aaron Matts take on a constant rhythm here, breathlessly delivering growl after growl. The guitars come crashing down at will several times during the choppy track but the rhythm of the song maintains its lumbering swing. The overall production and approach is similar to what we have heard from the band on Downer, but with an even bigger emphasis on creating a unique filter between natural and artificial.

The band seem to be teasing another album is forthcoming and, with it, there are sure to be several twists and turns. This first taste through ‘Good Morning’ is an aggressive, mechanized attack on the senses.
