Live Review

Melanie Martinez fans filled up St.Louis music park on Monday for a sold out show awaiting the one of a kind artist. The weather was a little humid and steamy but the fans still brought faeriecore fashion. At every turn there were faerie ears. The lines for the merch tent were almost all the way across the yard game field as the opener began. The opening talent of the night, Tanukichan, really knew how to set the tone for the evening. The band had such a great chemistry and stage presence and you could feel the excitement brewing.

Melanie’s stage set was truly a magic portal for her fans in the crowd. It lit up constantly with colorful visuals and props. The dancers pranced around the entire stage weaving Melanie in and out of them perfectly. The main set started with electricity and excitement with songs like Death, Void, and Tunnel Vision. When the song Light Shower started the crowd moved into pure emotion and there was a sea of flashlights and voices through the whole song. The connection Melanie has with her crowd while performing is so beautiful to witness. The stage transformed any times over the next few songs; a few like Spider Web, Leeches and Moon Cycle. The artist ended her main set with Womb before the encores started and she gave the crowd Powder, Pluto and Milk of the Siren.

The sold out show was full of love and art and Melanie truly delivered to her fans. On the way out of the venue you could hear fans still chanting songs and buzzing with excitement from the show.
