Heriot Interview
So you guys played the cave stage this morning, how did you guys find it?
Jake: “Wicked, really really good turn out. So nice to see so many people”
Debbie: “Yeah it was great to see so many people early as well for a band like us”
Jake: “I wouldn’t come watch us haha”
Julian: “Yeah brilliant. Packed tent, everyone in good spirits”
Erhan: “A good start to the day”
The band has had a couple of busy months to say the least. From securing support slots on tours to playing your first ever Download Festival what’s next for Heriot?
Debbie: “I think, Dominion Festival?”
Jake: “Yeah, just in the flow of festival season”
Erhan: “We’ve got Arctangent, Bloodstock urm Washed Out..oh no Washed Out isn’t going ahead anymore and then we’ve got Burn It Down as well. So yeah, busy busy. I think, they’re only like two, three weeks apart? So-”
Jake: “It’s sort of like one week on, one week off really. So a lot is the answer haha”
For anyone new to the band, where should fans look to, to keep up with your new releases?
Debbie: “Yeah, I think all social media channels, band camp, we’re @heriotmetal across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube - Spotify obviously!”
Jake: “Instagram is probably our most active for just day to day stuff and like, Twitter as well”
Do you have a random quote or any words of wisdom to end today with?
Erhan: “If you’re at a Festival, check out everyone. 2000 Trees is wicked in terms of like diversity and genres and stuff so just get out there, sink a beer and see some bands”
Julian: “Trees especially is good for finding new bands, like the line up is always-“
Jake: “First time I ever saw Dinosaur Pile Up, was so good”
Erhan: “We practice what we preach, we’ll be drinking beer and going to see bands haha”
Anyone in particular you’re looking forward to catching?
Erhan: “I think a biggie will be Turnstile, I think everyone will be there. Rolo Tomassi and PUP for me today”
Jake: “Tokky Horror later, that’ll be fun. And Clt Drp”
Debbie: “Clt Drp! Yeah, Blood Command as well”
Julian: “ZAND”
Debbie: “ZAND as well”
Jake: “Lizzy Farrall”
Debbie: “Yeah, Lizzy Farrall”
So you guys will just be running between the stages all weekend?
Jake: “Just going to be drinking and watching as many people as possible”
Julian: “Going to be hard sprinting everywhere - especially in crocs!”

Jake: “Now we’ve gotten that bit out of the way, we can just enjoy it haha”
