Fresh from dropping a bunch of new singles earlier this month, experimental metallers Sleep Token embarked on their five date long UK run, concluding at London’s very own Eventim Apollo.

Joining them for the ride were Australian’s finest in Northlane - playing their first shows back in the UK since 2019. Despite being the opening slot, it soon becomes very apparent that Northlane have many fans in the jam packed venue. From the moment they step out onto the stage, the crowd is incredibly responsive and enthusiastic. Bodies flew over the barrier throughout their set, giving the security team a thorough work out session. From opening number Clarity to closing number Talking Heads, the set was non-stop and the euphoric energy from their set only heightened the excitement for the evening’s headliners.

Sleep Token is a band that is on everyone’s lips right now, and their set demonstrates why. Every part of the set from the minuscule details of the staging was carefully crafted for them to pull off a full scale performance - or ritual. What was supposed to be one night at Brixton Academy, became two consecutive nights at the Eventim Apollo. To no surprise, the venue was filled front to back and with Sleep Token’s rise continually on the up, we’re eager to follow them on their journey to metalhead stardom. All in all, the band pull off a captivating experience for all of those in attendance, leaving devoted fans wanting more and more.
