Live Review
One of this month's most anticipated shows, Noah Cyrus' home show, took place on a chilly October evening in Nashville TN! Having hit singles like "July" and "Make me (cry)" that have reached millions of streams globally within hours of release, she was bound to sell out many shows this tour. At Marathon Music Works, she did just that, and as the doors opened, fans began to file into the venue. The night's support act was Gigi, a New York singer-songwriter whose single "Glue" was written while she grieved her older sister. As well as Noah, Gigi writes with her heart on her sleeve and states in interviews that she wants to remain transparent as possible, and her music shows that. She opened her performance with “Figurines” with later playing her single “Glue” and ending with “Chemistry”.

After Gigi’s set the room filled with anticipation for Noah to come out on stage. Rumors among fans started to spread around the venue of a potential guest appearance during. As the house music tore and the lights dimmed, Noah appeared on stage wearing an off-white gown by Lyn Alyson. Starting her performance off with “Noah (Stand Still)” which is her recent single with her father Billy Ray Cyrus. In response to the crowd's roar to her emotional songs, she expressed her gratitude for everyone who enjoyed her music throughout her career as well as bought tickets for this tour, since the pandemic has been hard on her and many others over the past few years. It still feels so surreal to be in a room full of people enjoying live music again. In her speech, she discussed her struggle with addiction and feeling very alone during the pandemic. “My Side of the Bed” is a particular song that is tough for her because it was about a relationship during the initial lockdown. As the show goes on with hits like “Again” and “I Just want a Lover” she stops to bring out her brother Trace Cyrus to sing a live duet of “Shake It”, which is a top hit from his band Metro Station. She then brings out Braison Cyrus to sing an unreleased duet that Braison had wrote for Noah called “Don’t put it all on me”. As she ends her performance with one of her number one songs, July, she departs the stage only to return for an encore of "Lonley", "Make Me", and "The End of Everything". Noah Cyrus is a must-see but getting to experience a home show is something special.
