Earlier this year, Sea Girls released their highly anticipated second album, Homesick and their 11 date UK headline tour made a stop at Birmingham’s 02 Academy for a stellar sold out show.
Support came from Garageband Superstar singer-songwriter, Lauran Hibberd who stepped onto the stage all smiles. Launching into ‘Average Joe’ an abundance of energy; that only seemed to grow as her set progressed, was unleashed. Her grunge-esque pop punk aesthetic more than won over the crowd as she span through tracks from her latest full length release. ‘I’m Insecure’ and ‘Hole In The Head’ were both hugely received by those in attendance. Hibberd closed her set with the appropriately titled ‘Last Song Ever’, a gentle nod to the fond farewell of her enthusiastic and engaging performance in Birmingham.
